Special lecture from Nadia

On December 1st, we had a special lecture     by Nadia Mckechnie about veganism. Nadia is a professional educational writer and voice-actor living and working in Tokyo, Japan. I felt her lecture was very fluent and easy to understand. Anyway,   she is a vegan who teaches people how good to become vegan for saving planet. At first, I had a image that be coming a vegan is a hard job. However, she teaches lots of alternative vegan products and stores. Also, she teaches how vegan reduces the resources. Although I think becoming a vegan is hard for me but I thought some day I can can be vegan as in short term to think about becoming eco for earth.

Recipe for vegan tofu tacos

Today, I will introduce how to make vegan tofu tacos. Now the purpose of making vegan tacos was also assigned by the professor making vegan recipe. Thus, I was inspired by food book, Trejo’s tacos.  Ingredients: 1 tofu 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 can of black soybeans (425g) 1 can of corns (425g) 8 tortillas 2 avocados ※ tortilla: freshly made, award winning California style Mexican burrito and tacos. Ingredients for taco sauce: 1 tomato 1/2 onion 1/2 green pepper  1 chili pepper 1 handful of cilantro  3 cloves garlic 1/2 of a lime 1teaspoon of oregano 1 teaspoon of cilantro  1 teaspoon of salt 2 teaspoon of chili power Black pepper How to make tofu tacos: 1. Mix the sauce ingredients using mixer 2. Mash the tofu and stir fry for 5 minutes  3. Mix the sauce, tofu, black beans, and corns 4. Grill tortillas and roll it up. I think you better go to Kinokuniya or Seijo Ishii in order to get fresh oregano and coriander. Otherwise you won’t be able to find it in Japanese supermarket. Any way t

Food review in Shibuya

I like to eat at restaurants so I go to various place almost everyday. Today I went to RAKERU which is famous serving omelette rice. The location to the restaurant is near my University and the Shibuya station however it is in Miyamasuzaka which the slope is bit steep. Although, I could enjoy eating omelette rice with my friend. The cost of omelette rice which I have ate was very cheap, it doesn’t go over 1000 yen. So I recommend everyone to eat there because it is so delicious.

Food review near my house

I had late lunch with my mother. She came from all over from Gunma to Tokyo to see me doing well alone in Tokyo. We went to cafe called PLUCK AND PLANT. This cafe is special because the owner’s main business is artist, who make objects using painting and dry flower. I love the decorations in the cafe; it was very colorful and I could see the posters of famous comic characters so I could guess that the owner love the comic that I also like. In cafe I ate bolognese and mascarpone baguette, salmon and porcini baguette, and la France gelato. The location to the cafe is near my house so I would like to go there again!
